Participants

The participants do not need a rally license, in order to participate in the Rally. You must be holder of a valid Driving License. Allowed to participate is, who registers with a classic or historic car. Each Team consists of a minimum of 2 persons. Additional persons per Team are subject to seats in the cars. Brand – or Club – Team Registration do not require a registration fee. A Brand – or – Club registration is valid if it consists of four vehicles.

Categories

The participants have the choice of three categories:
S - Sportive includes time measurements and special stages
S-Speed - same as S plus Speed Stages
T - Tourist, without time measurements

Accomodation / Hotels

All participants are accomodated in 5 star hotels during the entire Rally. The registration fee includes 12 nights in a hotel, 1 night in a desert camp at the Liwa Oasis, and complte meals (breakfast, lunch or lunch packages, dinner). It is possible to choose from 3 different accommodation categories. Standard Double Room, Junior Suite and Executive Suite. It is also possible to book twin and single rooms. The Gala Dinner and the Award of prices and Trophies for the overall winners takes place in Dubai.

Entry Date

Last registration date is the 01.03.2005. If your vehicle is transported via ship by Kuehne & Nagel Logistics the registration deadline is 01.02.2005. Together with the registration a €2000.00 is due, the rest of the amount is due 45 before the Start of the Rally. Registrations are accepted with a letter od confirmation which you will receive upon receipt of the down payment. This letter of confirmation is the guarantee for the participation in the Rally Al Khaleej. Additional Team members will be charged a surcharge of € …………. (Based on a single room rate). The features of the registration fee are listed on page 5 and 6.

Conditions of Entry

Eligable for participation are historic and classic cars of all categories and engine capacities which were build before 31.12.1974, have a valid road registration and have a insurance for the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman. A local insurer is available for this insurance. The organizer ensures that the insurance packages for the vehicles are individually prepared. Therefore it is necessary, and also a condition for entry, to complete the entire Registration forms with all the details.

Vehicle Shipment

The entir logistics for the shipment of your vehicle is handled by Kühne + Nagel Logistics, Munich.

It is optional to ship your vehicle by ship in a container or by Air-Cargo. Kühne + Nagel will provideyou with an individual shipping solution. Kühne + Nagel will handle all necessary formalities directly with you.

Cancellation

The Registration Fee is reclaimable:

• if the entry application is rejected by the organizer
• if the Event is canceled
• if the registration is reclaimed by the applicant until the 15.02.2005, in this case a cancellation fee of 540 € is charged

In case the applicant cancels the registration on self-behalf, 75% of the registration fee is going to be returned until the 22.02.2005 (cancellation fee 675 €). 50% of the registration fee is going to be returned until the 01.03.2005 (cancellation fee 845 €). Past the 01.03.2005 a reclaim is not possible anymore. The Date of post stamp / or receipt of fax is valid. It is recommended to subscribe to a Travel Cancellation Insurance.

Immigration

US and EU citicens (except new EU citicens) will recieve a two month entry visa at the Airport. The organizers will prepare the Visa for the Sultanate of Oman before hand, if copies of the passport are sent to the organizers at an early date. Alternatively can visas be obtained from Embassies and Consulates of the Sultanate of Oman. Attention: The Passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months starting from the Arrival date. It is not necessary to get vaccines for both countries.

Claims and Accident Liability

The organization of the Rally Al Khaleej are going to reject any Claims for personal, material and capital accidents that happen to participants, companions, car owners and other 3rd parties. The participants are fully responsible for unlawful behavior in the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates.
The event is insured with a standard third party claim insurance, according to the Law of the United Arab Emirates.

Changes of Program

The organizers reserve the right to make changes to the program or individual part of the event.

Registration

Please complete the Entry Form and send via fax or mail by latest the deadline of entry to the addresses mention on page 5. The earlier you register with a complete and signed Entry Form the more time you have to prepare you and your car for the Rally. With the signature the participants fully accepts these Terms and Conditions.
